While I love entertaining throughout MD, VA, PA, and DC, I also hold the roles of husband, father, and homeowner.  Therefore, I have established travel fees for entertaining in some areas.  Typically there is no charge for travel North to Westminster or Aberdeen, West to Mt. Airy, South to Laurel, and East to the Bay Bridge.  For areas outside the yellow on this map there may be minor travel fees to compensate for time, mileage, and an increase in "lead time" that I give myself in case of heavy traffic.  To get a rough idea of the fee for your venue, visit www.mapquest.com and using 21286 as your starting point, calculate the distance to your event.  Subtract the first 40 miles then multiply the difference by $3.00, round to the closest $5.00.  Example - Washington D.C. is 56 miles away, you pay for 16 miles which rounds to a travel fee of $50.00, travel fee doubled on holiday weekends (Fri-Mon).  $2.00/mile after 80 billable miles.  Travel charged only on one-way distance.
