Q:  Can I pick all of the songs to be played, and the exact time to play them?

A:  You can, but it's not advised.  When you hire a professional disc jockey, you are paying for years of expertise in the wedding field.  It is important to add your favorite songs to your reception to give a personal flair to the event, however, if you are looking to play songs in a predetermined order, you would be better off renting a P.A. system, or asking your venue to play compact discs that you have prepared.  DJ entertainment is an art, and no two events are similar in nature.  The ability to "read" your crowd and determine what will motivate your guests is a skill that takes years to develop.  One "bad" song at an inappropriate time could clear your dance floor and have your guests heading home early.  I love to mix your favorite songs together to create your "dream dance set", but no one (not even myself) can predict how your guests will react to various songs when it is time to dance.  To keep the dance floor packed, select a variety of music and a large number of general requests (and various genres of songs) to help your DJ satisfy your requests and the "needs" of the guests on the dance floor.
